One Spark and Four Years Blazing a Trail

It’s funny to talk about our beginnings or how we started because I very much feel like we are still in that phase. We are a very young group, having only started about 4 years ago. And the progress we’ve made in these short 4 years has helped us shape the kind of group we are now and the kind of group we strive to become. We had not much more than our stories and the willingness to be our true selves unapologetically. It was that mentality that helped develop our first two productions, Follow Me @ Tio Sam and Scratch That. We were then inspired to really discuss current and pressing matters that concerned the Latinx community and our migration history. Crossroads was soon produced and serves as an homage to our continued fight for a better tomorrow. Then just like that, COVID hit and it’s been terrible. We, however, were very fortunate and blessed with experience in adapting to the circumstances. We created an entirely digital production based in a virtual reality occupied by legendary warriors, sorcerers, kings and demons alike. We filmed the whole thing over Zoom and called it Heroes and Monsters. It features completely original music composed and produced solely by LXTP members, much like every production we do. And yes that’s a flex. And that brings us to right now. Currently working on our next piece, trying to top what we’ve done before. With the signature line-up of heavy hitters and talented artists, we are excited to continue down the path of expanding the company to provide more opportunities for up and coming artists from Northwest Arkansas and beyond. And I’m talking about big time expansions. We’re tryna have a production wing dedicated to developing and honing in on musical talents. Another one for acting both on stage and in front of cameras. An education wing that helps students educate themselves on different acting and musical styles, methods, techniques, etc. And of course finding a way to financially support and compensate these young artists to help build themselves up and provide for themselves. That’s always been the dream and the mission. To provide young artists, especially young artists of color, opportunities for success and artistic fulfillment like we wish we had. These young artists deserve that chance. Just like we did. And we’re down to do what it takes to try and provide that chance.
